Join The Grimoire Quilt Sampler, a fantasy-inspired quilt-along organized by Eva Saunders of Gingerly Quilt Co. This 13-block sampler brings together a collection of magical, bookish blocks from 13 designers for one wonderfully moody quilt.
I’ve taken the guesswork out of choosing fabric and created a custom Art Gallery Fabrics palette specifically for my version of The Grimoire.
Think caviar black, aged gold, warm ochre, muted terracotta, dusty peach, moss and sage, deep blue-green and smoky navy — rich, slightly vintage colors that feel right at home in an old enchanted library.
13-Block Twin Sampler Kit
Includes the Art Gallery Fabrics needed to create all 13 quilt blocks in the Twin Cover Quilt layout, using the San Diego Sewn Grimoire color palette shown in the listing photos.
Your fabrics will be labeled to correspond with the Grimoire fabric chart (A–L), so you won’t have to decipher the yardage chart or figure out substitutions yourself.
Includes everything required to create the 70” x 92” Twin Size frame shown in the official Grimoire layout.
This is the option to choose if you’d like to complete the full framed twin-size quilt.
Want to Make the 3-Block Banner?
The 3-block banner is a little different.
Because the amount and colors of fabric required depend on which three Grimoire blocks you choose, banner kits will be handled as custom orders.
Once you know which three blocks you’d like to make, contact San Diego Sewn and I’ll help put together the appropriate fabric kit for your banner.
About the Fabric
All fabrics in the San Diego Sewn Grimoire kit are from Art Gallery Fabrics and have been selected to coordinate as one cohesive palette.
Fabrics are 100% premium quilting cotton.
Because this is a curated kit, exact Art Gallery Fabrics colors may occasionally need to be substituted if availability changes before kits are cut. Any substitution will stay within the intended Grimoire palette and overall look.

The Grimoire quilt patterns are not included with this kit and must be obtained separately from the participating Grimoire designers/Gingerly Quilt Co.
Backing, batting and binding are also not included.
The quilt and individual blocks have not yet been fully released, so listing images currently show the official Grimoire branding, layout information, fabric requirements and the San Diego Sewn fabric palette rather than a completed quilt.
