Hi there, I’m Amanda, owner of San Diego Sewn. I’m based in San Diego, California, about ten miles from the Mexico border, in a place where you can go from sand and sea to mountains with snow, to another country, all in a single day. It’s inspiring and sometimes overwhelming, and I always find my way back to calm through creativity.

I’ve always been two things at once: a creative soul and a responsible, predictable one. Sewing opened the door to the artist in me, and my love for making grew into a love for fabric, patterns, and the stories color can tell. I started San Diego Sewn to share my favorite textiles and colorways with other makers, but it’s also become a place where I get to show up as more than a shop owner.

That’s where you'll find Charleigh Dot Designs, the home for my surface pattern design, standalone prints, and spot illustrations. You’ll still find the same intentional fabric curation here, and you’ll also start seeing more of my own art woven into what I offer.
