From Fabric Lover to Fabric Designer
Before I designed fabric, I bought a lot of it. San Diego Sewn grew from my love of sewing, quilting, color, and the feeling of finding exactly the right fabric for a project. Eventually, being surrounded by the work of other designers made me want to start drawing the things I wished existed too.
Charleigh Dot Designs is that part of the story. My work tends to live somewhere between nostalgic and modern — sweet without being too sweet, a little moody, occasionally odd, and usually carrying some kind of story.
