Hello, friends!

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to chat with you about Quilt Block Mania and what’s ahead for San Diego Sewn. If you’ve been following along, you know how much I enjoy contributing to this collaborative project with my unique foundation paper piecing (FPP) blocks. However, this December, I’ve decided to take a pause from designing a block of the month.

Why? Simply put, this season is BUSY! Between running the shop, working full-time, and navigating the hustle and bustle of the holidays, my plate is full. While I absolutely love creating for Quilt Block Mania, I want to ensure that any block I design is thoughtful, creative, and something you’d be excited to make. Taking this month off will allow me to recharge and plan for even better blocks in 2025!

Speaking of 2025, I want to hear from YOU! What kind of FPP patterns would you like to see from San Diego Sewn? Do you love seasonal designs? Maybe you’re looking for modern twists or themed blocks that tell a story. Whether you’re envisioning whimsical motifs, timeless classics, or something completely out of the box, I’m all ears!

Leave a comment below or shoot me a message on Instagram. Your ideas and feedback mean the world to me, and they help guide what I create next.

Thank you for understanding this little breather I’m taking. I’m already buzzing with ideas for next year and can’t wait to share more FPP patterns and quilt projects with you soon. Until then, happy sewing, and may your December be as cozy and creative as possible!

With gratitude,
Amanda
